My office, the Norwood Law Office, also handles a range of criminal law matters for my clients throughout Tulsa and the surrounding areas. Oklahoma criminal law statutes are designed to protect the citizens of Oklahoma from dangerous people. As a criminal defense attorney it is my job to protect people accused of criminal offenses from overzealous prosecution while securing acquittals, deferred sentences, and minimizing sentences in cases involving plea-bargains and convictions.

Criminal charges have the potential to affect people for the rest of their lives. In an effort to develop a legal strategy based on the unique circumstances of my client's case and situation, I strive to build relationships based on trust and respect. For people facing criminal charges it is not only their freedom that is under assault it is their dignity. I work with adults and juveniles charged with a host of misdemeanors and felonies including drug offenses, assault and battery, and murder and manslaughter.

I believe that part of representing a client in a criminal case is offering representation on issues stemming from the original arrest, including civil rights violations and bail bond reduction hearings. In most Oklahoma criminal cases the legal work begins prior to your hiring a lawyer. Typically, once you have been arrested the state considers you guilty and they have vast resources available to prove their case. I limit the number of cases I handle so I can concentrate my time and resources on achieving quality outcomes for my clients.

I work closely with each client and spend time working through the issues associated with their case. Many people facing criminal charges should not be charged with felonies involving significant fines and jail time. And many others who commit mere minor offenses are charged with felonies. I believe that every client deserves a zealous defense to assure that no one falls through the cracks.
